Chapaize :
Lancharre is a hamlet in the Chapaize district. Chapaize has its own historic Roman church :
a very famous one.
Its X° Century church is remarkable for its architecture and its 33 m. High bell-tower.
The “Friends of church Association” has been working for many years on its restoration. This continues tanks to their work and donations made by many visitors.
With the acquisition of an organ for the church, the Cultural Association programmes prestigious concert. They are held each thursday in summer.
Today, the village is much visited. There are two restaurants, a winegrower, farmers and artists (jewellers, ceramicist sculptor, and gilders of wood...).
